Manolo Blahnik continues to strengthen its position in Asia, the brand opens a new boutique in Singapore next month, writes WWD.
A new store will open in the Marina Bay Sands mall, which has the largest portfolio of designer boutiques in Asia.
The complex with three towers is one of Singapore's largest attractions, it houses a luxury hotel, casino, museum, restaurants and theaters, a huge pool and sky park.
The interior of the store was designed by architect Nick Leith-Smith, who has been collaborating with Blahnik for many years, bringing the master's vision to the interior design combined with elements of local architecture, materials and cultural context.
The store at Marina Bay Sands will open on May 16. This discovery follows a series of events to expand the presence of the luxury brand in Asia. The brand has partnered with the Bluebell Group to advance in the region. Prior to this, two Manolo Blahnik stores opened in Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur, as well as in Malaysia.
In April, the brand opened another store in Geneva. Also, the Manolo Blahnik store changed its location in the London Selfridges department store and expanded the area of its store in Burlington Arcade Space.
Meanwhile, the traveling exhibition Manolo Blahnik. Shoes as an Art ”(“ Manolo Blahnik: The Art of Shoes ”), which took place last year, including at the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, is completing its journey around the world. In May, the exhibition moves from Madrid to Toronto to the BATA Shoe Museum.
