Shoe marking will begin this year

The deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Viktor Yevtukhov, announced the intention to introduce shoe marking at the level of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) in 2017.

“This year we very much hope that a number of light industry products will already begin to be marked. Already we offer, first of all, leather shoes for men and women, ”said Yevtukhov.

In the spring of 2016, Russia launched a project on electronic RFID tagging of fur products. Since August 12 marking of fur coats has become mandatory on the territory of the EurAsEC. In the EurAsEC countries, the purchase, storage, use, transportation, and sale of unlabelled garments, clothing accessories and natural fur products is prohibited.
