At Milan Fashion Week, which was held from 17 to 23 on September, the shoes of the Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta were not only on the feet of all the influential people from the fashion world, but also met on every corner in the city. The brand’s posters could be seen on billboards and in trolley cabins, Footwearnews.com writes.
The brand’s show at Fashion Week was also a huge success, it gathered crowds of fans, on whose feet were square-toed sandals or cult mesh shoes that had already become iconic. The show of the new Bottega Veneta spring-summer 2020 collection presented several applicants for the title of the new “it” pair - shoe, experts say.
So, model Irina Shayk entered the catwalk in spectacular cobalt-colored sandals on two straps that were made in the corporate style of Bottega Veneta, made of genuine leather with a convex texture.
Thirty-three-year-old Daniel Lee, previously working for Celine and Balenciaga, gave the Bottega Veneta collections a new creative director of the brand. He was appointed Creative Director of Bottega Veneta in 2018, and has already managed to present shoe styles that have been recognized as the most trendy by the fashion community - these are mesh shoes or sandals with two straps, both models have a square toe that is undergoing countless copying today.
Lee continued to play with the texture of convex leather, and also uses traditional Bottega design codes, such as delicate weaving from straps. Sandals with a top in the form of weaving were released in orange, white, purple and brown. In addition to the square toe of shoes, Lee proposed the style of shoes with an almond-shaped toe.
