In February, the first The Footwear Industry Award winners were named in Birmingham. This year it was held under the slogan “UNITED THE INDUSTRY”. The award was established by the three British Footwear Associations, the Independent Footwear Retailers Association and the Society of Shoe Fitters. The awards were presented in 19 nominations, including the best sellers of men's, women's and children's shoes, the best chains and the best startups, the best service and the best sales representatives. This is the first time an event of this magnitude has taken place in the United Kingdom. The organizers have promised to make the award annual.
