Strange bulky shoes are another trend of our troubled times, and it’s impossible to ignore. American designer Rick Owens presented voluminous inflated latex boots at a show in Paris, which, according to him, were created in collaboration with the young London designer Straighteye, who likes to experiment with architectural volumes.
To put it mildly, a very impressive model was presented on the catwalk in black, green, milky, burgundy and brown colors with animal print.
The show also showcased new men's leather over-the-knee boots. The leather cover covers the leg above the knee and, expanding towards the bottom, goes down to the limit, hiding the sole. There are metal zippers along the leather canvas as an additional design element.
Another slightly less extravagant style in Owens's fall 2024 footwear collection is the knee-high platform boot, which has a triangular toe. Wide belts and metal studs add brutality to the look.
The collection, titled “Porterville,” pays tribute to Owens’ hometown in California.
