Obuv.com Introduces Automated Warehouse Management

The multi-brand shoe store chain Obuv.com has implemented the Columbus WMS warehouse management system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX.

The management of the retail company wanted to qualitatively change the organization of the warehouse. “We are interested in minimizing costs in all areas of our activity in order to make the product more affordable for a wide range of buyers. We carefully plan our costs, but we also make sure that the quality of accounting, the speed of selection of goods and our other indicators do not suffer, ”said Dmitry Gladkiy, Logistics Manager at Obuv Kom.

The new system was implemented in a short time - three months. With the help of the Columbus WMS solution, the Obuv.com network automated all the processes of the warehouse complex: quantitative and qualitative acceptance, picking, internal storage, order control, shipment of goods to consignees, inventory, reject and write-off processing, assembly / disassembly of specifications.

The quality of transport loading has increased and the cost of delivering goods has been reduced. Updating the assortment in the warehouse now requires minimal time and resources by using technology and minimizing the use of manual labor.

According to company statistics, thanks to Columbus WMS, the number of complaints from stores regarding the quality of product selection decreased by 8%.

Recall that Obuv.com operates in the mass market segment. Today, the retailer unites more than 90 outlets, the sales area of ​​which ranges from 150 to 250 square meters. m. A class A warehouse complex has an area of ​​about eight thousand square meters. meters.
