Obuv Rossii opened stores in Kamchatka

Obuv Rossii opened stores in KamchatkaIn mid-November, Obuv Rossii GK, one of the largest shoe retailers in Russia, opened the 2 of Westfalika store in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the administrative center of Kamchatka Krai, the fourth largest city in the Far East. Next year, the company plans to launch more 2 outlets in this city. Obuv Rossii opens stores in large shopping centers, which allows the company to attract younger and more solvent audiences visiting shopping centers. Investments in the opening of one store amount to 7-8 million rubles, taking into account inventory.

The Far East is an important region for Obuv Rossii Group of Companies: it is one of the five leaders in terms of turnover among the company's regional offices. There are already 19 stores in the Far East in the Amur Region, Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories, the Republic of Sakha, and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The Kamchatka Territory is attractive from the point of view of the development of shoe retail, since there is virtually no specialization of shoe chains in the region, mono-brand chains are poorly represented in the mid-price segment. In recent years, the share of global and federal shoe chains has been growing in the region, which are gradually ousting local players from the market.

Entering new regions is the implementation of the network development program for 2013. Since the beginning of the year, Obuv Rossii has launched more than 80 new outlets, thus exceeding the 30% plan for opening 60 stores announced in the spring. The new regions for the company are the Volgograd, Amur, Tula regions, the Komi Republic, Buryatia, Karelia, Bashkortostan, Mordovia, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, the Jewish Autonomous Region. In early November 2013, the number of Shoe of Russia stores exceeded 260.
