The factory will include cutting and sewing workshops, assembly production, as well as a workshop for the production of footwear parts.
The footwear produced will be sold under the Westfalika brand in the trade network of the same name throughout Russia. "The project involves the purchase, renovation and equipping of a building with an area of 8 thousand square meters and a phased launch of production with full capacity in four years," - explained representatives of the shoe holding.
The factory project will be presented at the XII International Investment Forum "Sochi-2013", which takes place on September 26-29.
Karachay-Cherkessia is considered a promising site for a shoe factory, since it is located close to the main Russian production of raw materials for shoes located in the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov-on-Don and Ryazan. The republic also has a professional base for creating a shoe factory: craft shoe workshops have historically developed in this territory, and in Soviet times a large shoe factory worked in Cherkessk.
