In November 2019, Obuv Rossii announced a change in its business model: the company provided up to 50% of its own retail space for third-party products, calling its new retail model a marketplace. The company went beyond the fashion segment, as a result, in the stores of its network, the number of which is currently 909 points, new groups of goods appeared - household goods, household goods, toys, decorative cosmetics, dishes, small household appliances.
Currently, the company has more than 300 suppliers from such product segments as children's toys, household goods, cooking utensils, small household appliances, cosmetics, and others. The suppliers' geography is Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Kazan, Krasnodar, Omsk and other cities. Among the partners who already cooperate with Shoe of Russia on the proposed scheme are MakFine shoe manufacturer, Concept Club clothing manufacturer and others.
According to the group’s plans, the development of the marketplace will allow the company in the next two years to increase the revenue of existing stores by more than 30%, conversion by 1,5 times, and also smooth out the seasonality typical of the fashion market.
GC "Shoes of Russia" was founded in 2003, has its headquarters in Novosibirsk and an office in Moscow. The main business area is the production and trade of footwear and related goods. The company operates 909 stores (174 are franchised) under the brands Westfalika, Pedestrian, Rossita, Emilia Estra and Lisette, and also develops footwear and clothing brands for an active lifestyle S-tep, all.go and Snow Guard and owns two footwear factories in the Novosibirsk region.
