OR Group (Obuv Rossii Group of Companies) reports that the revenue of its own online marketplace westfalika.ru has more than doubled in 9 months of 2021, that is, up to 1,405 billion rubles. For the same period in 2020, westfalika.ru's revenue amounted to only 655 million rubles.
At the same time, the volume of the group's consolidated unaudited revenue for 9 months of 2021 decreased by 9% - to 6,369 billion rubles compared to 7,034 billion rubles for the same period in 2020.
Director of OR Group Anton Titov explains the growth in revenue of the online marketplace, as well as the growth of online sales in general (13%) by expanding the range of the online platform, improving logistics and developing new communication channels.
And the main reason for the decline in revenue of the Westfalika trading platform (which includes the sale of private label goods, partner goods (marketplace) in the retail network and on the westfalika.ru online platform) considers the not fully recovered traffic in the chain stores.
“Despite the growth in marketplace and online sales revenue, the revenue of the Westfalika trading platform has decreased compared to the same period last year. The main reason is the not fully recovered traffic in the stores of the chain, we expect a smooth recovery of traffic in the medium term, - says Anton Titov. - The dynamics of wholesale revenue is due to the special seasonality of the purchase of wholesale counterparties. In 2020, due to quarantine restrictions, the main bulk purchases shifted to the 3rd quarter of 2020. As for 2021, by the end of 9 months, wholesale revenue leveled off to the same indicator for 9 months of 2020 ”.
It is also noted that the group's portfolio for the installment payment service for 9 months of 2021 decreased by 7% compared to the same period in 2020 - to 2,078 billion rubles, and the decrease in the portfolio on cash loans was 10% compared to the same period in 2020 - to 2,594 billion rubles.
