The growth of sales of clothes and shoes in the online store Ozon.ru this year amounted to about 70%. Such data was announced by Ozon.ru CEO Danny Perekalski.
He noted that sales of clothes and shoes make up only 2% of the company's turnover, but in the online market these categories occupy leading positions in sales along with electronics. Therefore, Ozon.ru plans to develop these areas. Over the next five years, growth in sales of clothing and footwear on Ozon.ru should be about 20% per year.
Currently, Ozon.ru is actively engaged in the development of its own logistics network. Recently, a large distribution center Ozon.ru opened in Kazan, and in 2017 it is expected to open a similar project in Krasnodar.
OZON.ru online megamarket was founded in 1998, it is one of the first Russian e-commerce projects in the B2C segment. Today OZON.ru, together with the online travel agency Ozon.travel and the Ozon delivery service, Delivery is part of the Ozon Group.
