The Czech shoe network Bata will try to enter the Russian market for the fifth time. Forty stores under this brand will be opened by Kazan company Zole.
Three Bata stores will open in August - in the Moscow shopping center Gallery Airport, the shopping center Gallery in Krasnodar and Sochi's Moremoll.
In total, eight Bata stores will appear by the end of the year (including in the Moscow region). Within three years, the company plans to increase them to 40. Network stores ranging from 150 to 250 sq. m will be located in cities with a population of more than 500 000 people, in the largest shopping centers. ”
The Bata project in Russia will cost 16 million dollars, representatives of the Zole company report. The strategic investor of the project, according to her, will be Tatfondbank.
The owner of 99,99% TD Zole is Center Shuz LLC, a former subsidiary of Kazan Spartak shoe factory.
Bata is owned by 17 brands of shoes, outerwear and accessories, including Marie Claire, Ambassador, North Star and PataPata. Bata operates in the mid-price segment and produces 100 million pairs of shoes per year. The retail chain has about 5000 stores in more than 70 countries.
