Mobile payment terminals from Yandex.Money appeared

The Yandex.Money company began selling 2can mobile terminals (bank card readers) that connect to smartphones and tablets and accept payments from bank cards.

Yandex.Money ordered a batch of readers from 2can to accept payments from Visa and MasterCard bank cards and tested them in pilot mode for several months. The readers are compatible with smartphones and tablets based on iOS and Android operating systems.

In addition to readers, which will be sold under the Yandex.Money brand, 2can has developed a special application for the payment system, 2can for Yandex.Money. This program, in conjunction with a mobile device to which the reader is attached, constitutes a complex solution for accepting payments.

Mobile payment terminals (POS-terminals) from Yandex.Money can be used by both commercial clients and individuals. They must conclude an agreement with Yandex.Money, and then accept payments to their current account. Individual users, for example, will be able to accept funds to an electronic wallet in Yandex.Money, subject to identification.

A fixed fee of 2,75 percent is charged for payment through a mobile terminal, which is withheld from the recipient. The payer receives confirmation of payment by e-mail or phone.

“We expect that mobile terminals will be used by street café workers, taxi drivers, insurance agents and, of course, couriers to deliver goods. In addition, this is an excellent solution for charity fairs, ”says project manager Oleg Nikitin.

You can order the reader on the Yandex.Money website. The Yandex.Money payment system is the largest in the Russian Internet - as of April 2014, 18 million online wallets were registered in it, about 12 thousand new accounts are opened daily.
