The international recruiting company Hays in Russia presented an overview of the opinions of employers and professionals on the situation on the labor market in 2021, writes Retail-News.com. According to the results of the study, companies in most industries are currently experiencing a shortage of key specialists in Russia; 76% of employers report a serious staff shortage.
The sphere of wholesale and retail trade was also among the sectors with an acute shortage of professionals - about 31% of the heads of wholesale and retail trade companies surveyed by Hays noted the problem of a shortage of professional personnel.
Companies are struggling with a shortage of professionals: filling vacancies with their own employees - 46% (41% in 2020), hiring interns and training them within the company - 41% (16% in 2020), attracting specialists from other regions - 41% ( 6% in 2020), from other industries - 24% (8% in 2020). An increase in recruitment costs in 2021 was reported by about 20% of study participants (7% in 2020).
