Rockport opened stores in 7 cities of Russia

Rockport, an American women's and men's shoe brand, opened in December 2011 of the year 7 of new stores in Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Ryazan, Samara, Tolyatti and Ufa. Stores ranging from 67 to 98 sq. m., located in the shopping and entertainment centers of regional capitals: SEC Jam Mall in Irkutsk, SEC Red Square in Krasnodar, SEC Royal Park in Novosibirsk, SEC M5 Mall in Ryazan, SEC MEGA in Samara and Ufa and SEC Park House in Tolyatti. 

The retail space is designed in accordance with the Rockport global concept, first introduced in 2009. According to this concept, the entire stock of products is stored on the floor of the trading floor, which allows to increase the level of customer service by reducing the time it takes a consultant to find a model of the right size. 

The Rockport retail chain in Russia includes 48 stores, 16 of which are located in the capital and 32 in large cities of the country. Tobias Reiss-Schmidt, head of the global retail network of Rockport, noted that the company intends to continue active development in its priority market and by the end of 2012 open at least 26 branded stores. “In the near future, new stores will appear in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk and Volgograd,” he said.

In the new Rockport collections of the spring-summer season of 2012, male and female models are presented, which have become the embodiment of the Walkability philosophy, which is based on the creation of stylish casual shoes. A distinctive feature of the brand's products is the combination of modern design and innovative sports technologies, such as adiPRENE and adiPRENE + by adidas, which make stylish shoes comfortable. The Rockport product line also includes a collection of women's handbags and leather accessories. The famous British stylist and brand ambassador Annabel Tollman participated in the development of new collections, whose client list includes Scarlett Johansson, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Shakira, Mariah Carey. Her collaboration with Rockport began in the spring of 2011.

The women's collection was based on 3 key trends of the season: strict lines and emphasized architectural forms (Modern Artisan collection), technological design and convenience (City Escape collection), flirty femininity and bohemian style (Neo Nostalgia collection).

The line of men's shoes was also created taking into account 3 shoe trends: restrained office style with an emphasis on materials and unique details of decoration (Modern Artisan), a combination of casual and sporty styles using technological developments for greater walking comfort (City Escape), casual style, suitable for a weekend break (Coastal Summer).
