The world's largest tender for the production of army shoes for Russian military personnel was won by the Turkish company Yakupoğlu Deri Sanayi (YDS).
According to the company's general director, Vedat Yakupoğlu, the boots are designed taking into account the peculiarities of the cold Russian climate and are able to withstand frosts minus 40 degrees Celsius.
“The leather boots are cold and water resistant. But they "breathe", letting air pass freely, and they have many other technical characteristics. The cost of the tender was $ 100 million. This is the largest such tender in the world, ”explained Yakupoğlu.
