The Moscow Fashion Week has come to an end, bringing together hundreds of Russian brands. For seven days, more than 450 designers presented their collections at several iconic venues in the capital - Zaryadye, VDNKh, Tverskaya Square, GUM, Revolution Square and Mayakovskaya metro station.
For 200 days, 34 designers from 7 Russian cities showed more than 3 looks on the catwalks of Moscow Fashion Week, which were worked on by 208 stylists and make-up artists. More than 2,7 thousand models participated in the events.
More than 70 shows were held at the main site in Zaryadye Park, 84 designers from different cities of Russia showed their collections at VDNH, 16 shows at Tverskaya Square, as well as a collective show at GUM, a show at Revolution Square and the Mayakovskaya metro station.
Many people were interested in Moscow Fashion Week: the events were broadcast online on more than 120 Russian and international media sites, as well as in the official group of the event on the VKontakte social network. Designer shows and business program sessions have collected almost 3 million views.
As part of the global event, five markets worked, which brought together 225 brands. There you could buy designer clothes, shoes and accessories. There were two markets in Zaryadye Park, and markets were also opened in the Seasons Shopping Gallery, on Tverskoy Boulevard and Tverskaya Square.
Throughout the event, a professional B2B showroom in Gostiny Dvor was open. 138 brands presented their collections in the categories: women's and men's clothing, children's clothing, outerwear, bags, accessories, bijouterie. 249 buyers from 40 cities in Russia, as well as Belarus, Kazakhstan and Vietnam visited the showroom in 7 days. More than 230 deals were agreed in the showroom for a total amount exceeding 60 million rubles, and the average deal amounted to about 260 thousand rubles. Designers are discussing more than 800 potential agreements, negotiations on which will continue after the end of Moscow Fashion Week.
As part of the business program, more than 50 sessions were held at the main venue in Zaryadye Park, at which more than 180 speakers spoke. In the business program, they discussed the reconfiguration of the market, looked for answers to current business needs, sought to organize effective interaction, as well as establish links between all representatives of the fashion industry.
Digital Fashion took place in the exhibition space of the New Manege. Experts from digital and contemporary art, as well as the digital fashion industry, gave lectures and master classes for the guests. The project combined Russian artistic traditions with digital art. Young digital artists presented their works based on traditional Russian ornaments. In addition, the guests of the event were waiting for digital shows of digital clothes - 3D avatars became models on the virtual catwalks.
The Fashion Capital festival was held at 35 venues as part of Moscow Fashion Week, and Tverskaya Square became the center of the festival. More than 1300 master classes, 110 concert programs, about 50 fashion shows of various historical eras, as well as young Russian designers, 42 lectures, 105 film screenings and more than 300 animation programs have been held at the venues.
A family event dedicated to children's fashion and style, Fashionable Technograd, was held at the Technograd innovation and educational complex at VDNKh. The key event was the show of children's clothing collections from Russian brands and designers.
VDNKh also hosted the Tech in Fashion program dedicated to the technological block in the fashion industry. An open interactive exhibition of the latest technologies from the fashion world worked in the Robostation pavilion.
In addition to the exhibition, the Tech in Fashion booth hosted the Fashion Podcast: a series of events dedicated to fashion and interesting people in this field, from designers to historians. Also in the Robostation pavilion, there was a traveling studio Fashionable Sentence 2.0 - stylists of the television program of the same name advised the guests of the Robostation on choosing clothes and personal style, including giving practical advice on how to improve it.
In the Tsifra.Technograd pavilion, VDNKh guests were offered the FashionTech Talks business technology program, where stylists and fashion experts shared their current knowledge and trends in the fashion world with visitors. At the end of the Tech in Fashion program, VDNKh hosted the Fashion Tech Run. Also, VDNKh hosted the cosplay festival “Faneron. City of Dreams” and other events.
The organizer of the Moscow Fashion Week is the Fashion Fund with the support of the Moscow Government.
