Labeling code costs 50 kopecks per item

For the mandatory marking of shoes, which will be introduced in the Russian Federation in July 2019, a unique Data Matrix code was chosen. It is assumed that the cost of the marking code will be 50 kopecks per unit of goods. The final amount will be determined by the Government of the Russian Federation.

Vera Volkova, head of the "Light Industry" project of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), spoke about this at the conference "Digital Marking - Contribution to State Regulation of Production and Turnover of Light Industry". CRPT is determined by the operator of the unified system of digital marking and product traceability Honest ZNAK.

The shoe labeling experiment in Russia began on June 1, 2018 and will end on June 30, 2019. Starting July 1, 2019, in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated April 28, 2018 No. 792-r “On Approving the List of Goods Subject to Mandatory Marking with Control Marks”, mandatory marking of shoes will be introduced on the territory of the Russian Federation.

During the experiment, the developers abandoned the idea of using RFID for marking, substantiating their decision with its high cost, preference was given to the digital code DataMatrix. The information in it is reduced to a unified format, encrypted in the form of a sequence of characters and is protected from forgery using cryptographic technologies. It is assumed that the cost of the goods traceability service from the manufacturer to the store cash desk is 50 kopecks. The final cost will be determined by the government of the Russian Federation.

Codes can be applied to the packaging, product label, or the pair itself. Through the digital code, you can trace the entire path of each pair of shoes - from production to withdrawal of goods from circulation. The system records the transition of goods from owner to owner at each stage of the logistics chain, which makes it impossible to stuff illegal products. The withdrawal of goods from circulation will be carried out by obtaining information from operators of fiscal data in retail, small-scale wholesale, sale via the Internet.

The experiment has already started, in October all interested companies will be able to join it, and currently all technologies are being developed with the participants of the design and expert group, representatives of the MDCT said.

Currently, 12 companies are participating in the shoe labeling experiment, including Kari, Sportmaster, Moscow Shoe Factory Parizhskaya Kommuna, Zenden Group, Analpa (LS Import) and others.

The Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRTC) will begin to connect all companies that have declared their readiness to participate in the shoe labeling experiment from October 2018.

“After testing the release of codes is completed, registration will be open for all shoe companies who wish to take part in the experiment. Participants in the project-expert group, which was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, are already registering in the system, ”said Vera Volkova.

The technological platform of the pilot project was the Honest Mark national product labeling and tracking system. Online https://честныйзнак.рф/ You can follow all the news of the project.
