Tamaris launches its own online store

According to the German concern Wortmann, Tamaris will open its first online store this fall. Purposefully working towards becoming the No. 1 brand in Europe, Tamaris opens its own online store in addition to such established marketing communications as print, outdoor advertising and television. Given the increasingly complex market requirements, this approach will significantly accelerate the brand's development as one of the most popular European brands. Today, the Internet is an extremely important communication platform and an international showcase for brands across all business segments. “Not a step without an online store, or, in other words, without an online store, there is no brand! The ability to represent absolutely all the Tamaris brand competencies in all its manifestations is an invaluable advantage of this store, ”says Jens Bining, Managing Director and Limited Partner of the Wortmann Footwear Holding Company. The Tamaris online store will decisively strengthen the brand's image and its presence in European and other markets. From September, the Tamaris Fall-Winter 2012/2013 collection will go online in Germany and Austria at www.tamaris.de and www.tamaris.at. Other countries will follow. In the current financial year 2011/2012 (as at 31 May 2012), the Wortmann Group expects a total sales turnover of 995 million euros. In the previous year, the company had a turnover of 957,7 million euros. With about 31 million pairs of fashion footwear and 27 million pairs for the comfort segment, the group is one of the largest footwear manufacturers and distributors in Europe.
