Customs rates on shoes reduced

The Eurasian Economic Commission has lowered the rates of import duties on certain types of footwear. The law will come into force on September 1. True, the concessions apply to rare categories of goods and primarily apply to special shoes. For example, the import rate for footwear with a protective metal toe cap (these are special footwear for the reliable protection of the feet of heavy industry workers) will be 7,5% of the cost plus 0,55 euros per pair instead of the current 10%, but not less than 1 euro per pair. At the same time, the rates of duties on shoes with uppers made of rubber and plastic, on ski boots, indoor shoes, shoes with heels of more than 3 cm, etc. were reduced. True, the new rates on the latter are not specified.
