Decathlon Sports Retailer Turns Up 9,1 Billion Euros

The French company Decathlon, specializing in the development, production and retail trade of sports goods for more than 70 sports, reported that the company's turnover for 2015 year increased by 12% and amounted to 9,1 billion euros. This result is mainly due to the opening of new stores - over the past year, the sports retailer has opened 140 stores, including 15 in Russia, 51 in China and 17 in India. The company currently has 1030 stores in 29 countries, in Russia there is an 31 hypermarket.

Another growth factor was online sales, which grew by 35%. The online store Decathlon.ru is officially opened in Russia, the delivery of goods of which is carried out by the transport company Hermes Russia.
