Twitter is about to introduce a buy button

The microblogging network Twitter announced the start of testing the button "Buy" on a small number of accounts in the United States.

The service allows you to make a purchase by clicking on a "tweet" without leaving the social network. It will be available in a mobile application for Android and iOS devices. According to the company, the innovation will help the development of direct sales of manufacturers to those users who are interested in their products.

Twitter partners became sales and purchase services that take into account the user profile: Fancy, Gumroad, Musictoday, and Stripe will be used as a platform for payments.

The first accounts to be eligible to post with a Buy button belong to artists, brands and non-profit organizations involved in collaboration with Twitter. Among them is the clothing manufacturer Burberry.

The shopping process with the new service is simplified as much as possible. Once clicking on the "Buy" button, the user can get additional information about the product. After confirming the purchase, you will need to enter the payment details.

Note that in July, Facebook launched the social testing of a similar feature.
