Black Friday will come to Russia again

In Russia for the second time there will be massive pre-holiday online sales called "Black Friday". Last year, a similar action was also held in RuNet. To do this, they created a special platform where the leading players of the online market (Ozon, Sapato, Otto, etc.) uploaded their offers.

This year "Black Friday" will stretch for 4 days: from 19.00 on November 27 to the end of the day on November 30. The online catalog will include more than 50 items with discounts from 000 to 20%.

The BlackFridaySale.ru platform is preparing for aggregate traffic of at least 6-7 million people, with a one-time load on the site of up to 1,5 million people. The sale will take place both on the BlackFriday website and on the websites of the sellers themselves.

More than 200 Russian and foreign Internet sites have already announced their intention to take part in the sale. Among them, the majority of participants in the 2013 sale: Ozon.ru, Sapato.ru, Lamoda, Otto, Detsky Mir and others.

Recall that in 2013 the BlackFriday site went down immediately after the start of sales, and then it worked intermittently. A strange thing happened for a number of participants with discount prices: for some, the sale price of goods was higher than the average on Yandex.Market. The sale caused a wave of negativity in social networks. But this year, the organizers hope to avoid last year’s failures.

To this end, they developed and tested a new product-assortment policy designed to reduce the total number of product names and, due to this, increase the percentage of offers with “truly unprecedented discounts. Mechanisms were also created to protect buyers from unfair discounts.
