The new Siesta shopping center will be opened in March next year in the territory of the existing shopping center. The total area will be 16 thousand sq. M., Of which retail space will be about 9 thousand sq. M. Siesta will work in the areas of beauty, home, fashion, kids, game. That is, beauty products, interior products and gifts, a floor with a full range of fashionable clothes for men and women, products for children from 0 to 16 years, a game theme and an entertainment center, ”says the executive director of Trade Center Shopping Center-Volga Region , co-investor of the project Maxim Samsonov. According to Mr. Samsonov, the distinctive feature of Siesta will be the presence of a children's development center, that is, a platform where a team of professional teachers, speech therapists, and psychologists will work. “The problem with the families of large cities is precisely that their parents are completely dedicated to work, and they acutely feel the lack of time to communicate with their children. This is an absolutely European approach to shopping - combining the leisure of a child and parents with purchases. There are no analogues to this project in Saratov and, most likely, will not be in the near future, ”says Mr. Samsonov.
Investors claim that the uniqueness of the shopping center also lies in the principle of “open space,” that is, the absence of partitions on floors between individual sellers. In addition, they pay attention to the thematic division of the floors.
Siesta will operate in the mid-price segment. Investment in the project is $ 14 million.
According to the London Consulting & Management Company LCMC, the retail real estate market of the regional center is experiencing a shortage of large quality properties. Saratov is the largest city in the Middle Volga region with great development potential. With a population of 837 thousand people (1,19 million people make up the agglomeration with Engels), there are currently very few professional high-quality shopping centers in the capital of the region.
“The attractive location of the Siesta shopping center on the territory of the Volga retail park in the immediate vicinity of the main highways will ensure good customer flows,” says Dmitry Zolin, managing partner of LCMC consulting company.
Galina Maliborska, Director of Retail Property at Colliers International, notes the popularity of department stores around the world. “On the Russian market, there is generally a shortage of multi-brand full-format department stores, especially in the middle price segment. It is noteworthy that this concept is being developed by a Russian player who has rich experience in retail and clearly understands what will be in demand by the Saratov buyer, ”the expert notes.
