Production is growing in the Chelyabinsk region, but retail is closing

At a meeting of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Chelyabinsk Region, they noted an increase in the production of clothing and footwear, while reducing clothing and shoe retail, according to BusinessFM Chelyabinsk.

In particular, the director of the Unichel shoe factory Vladimir Denisenko announced this in his speech. According to him, the situation with the production of clothes and shoes in the Chelyabinsk region is even better than in Russia as a whole. So the growth of shoe production in the region amounted to 8%. At the same time, according to Denisenko, a large number of retail stores are closing, including 14 stores of the Uralobuv retail chain. “Manufacturers simply cannot sell their goods,” comments the entrepreneur.

According to him, in such a situation on the market only large manufacturers with their own distribution network can survive. Such as Peplos or Unichel. Small producers face closure, despite all attempts at import substitution. Chinese manufacturers cannot yet be defeated, experts say.

Manufacturers call the most effective measure of state support subsidizing interest rates on loans, however, not everyone can take loans from banks. For startups or unique industries, the way to the bank is “ordered” - credit organizations either refuse to grant a loan or offer unfavorable conditions.
