According to the results of January-July of 2017, the volume of imports of Chinese shoes in the Russian Federation amounted to $ 1,21 billion in value terms, which exceeds 19,6% compared to the same period last year. Tonnage of imports increased by 36,4%, to 94,32 thousand tons, TASS reports with reference to customs statistics of China.
In total, according to the customs statistics of China, the export of shoes from China to other countries in the first half of the 2017 year increased by 5% compared to the same period last year - up to $ 20,73 billion. The export tonnage for the reporting period reached 1,67 million tons (+ 6,2%).
The main importer of footwear from the Middle Kingdom is the United States; shoes worth $ 6,88 billion (-0,7%), which corresponds to 489,68 thousand tons of products (-1,2%), were delivered to this country. Shoes worth $ 1,63 billion (+ 4,9%) were delivered to the UK, and $ 1,31 billion (-1,6%) to Japan.
