Shoe production in the Moscow region has increased 2,3 times over the past five years. The annual production volume exceeded 11 million pairs, TASS reports with reference to the words of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovieva.
“Over the past five years, Moscow Region manufacturers have increased their footwear production by more than 2,3 times. If in 2018 a little less than 5 million pairs of shoes were produced in the region, then by the end of 2022 this figure has already exceeded 11,6 million. In percentage terms, the growth is more than 132%,” she noted.
At the same time, in January-June 2023, enterprises in the region have already produced more than 7,2 million pairs of shoes. Compared to the same period last year, the growth exceeds 50%.
