American footwear brand Vans has launched a special collection called Vans Breast Cancer Awareness, which aims to draw the attention of young people to the importance of early diagnosis of diseases such as breast cancer. As a result, the brand's designers have created a rather original collection with prints, the main artistic element of which is the female breast.
“The idea of creating such a collection was inspired by the annual non-profit festival Festifeel, which will host the legendary House of Vans in London this year. The program of the event is designed not only to glorify youth culture, music or art, but also to become an educational platform in the field of cancer prevention, ”said Vans shoe designer Diandre Fuentes.
The key models of Sk8-Hi and Slide-On shoes are decorated with a picture depicting girls who are so different from each other, but at the same time they make up something single, indivisible. Era sneakers are made in DIY-coloring, and two pairs of classic Slip-On in a new palette also continue the uniform theme of the collection.
In addition to shoes, the collection included a jacket with patch pockets, also decorated with embroidery, a black cap with the inscription “You got this”, where the color of the letters imitates different types of leather, a backpack, socks, as well as t-shirts and pullovers in an intentionally masculine style, in order to attract attention to the male audience to the problem.
The Vans Breast Cancer Awareness collection is designed not only for women, but also for men, because everyone can have breast cancer. The collection will soon go on sale worldwide.
Based on the sale of the collection, Vans will donate at least $ 200 to CoppaFeel, a UK-based charity dedicated to breast cancer awareness and early diagnosis.
