After opening a shoe store under the Blind Chicken brand in October 2022 in the metropolitan shopping and entertainment center Afimall City, Mikhail Molchanov, the owner of the Blind Chicken optics salon chain, is going to open a luxury department store next year, writes fashionunited. ru.

The opening of the department store is scheduled for June 1, 2023. It will be located on an area of ​​2,9 thousand square meters. meters. The department store will feature clothing, footwear and accessories corners from more than a hundred premium and luxury brands, including Guсci, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Woolford, Paris Texas and others. 

“We have already made the purchase of all the first lines and main collections for the spring-summer season and will soon begin preparations for the autumn-winter 2023/24 season,” Molchanov told RBC. Part of the supplies will be brought to Russia directly from brands (we are talking primarily about Italian companies), and brands such as Gucci and Valentino, for example, through a parallel import scheme.

The amount of investment in the department store project was not disclosed.

The Blind Chicken chain of glasses and accessories stores was founded in 2017, today it has 15 stores in Moscow and two in Kaluga, where an ophthalmological center also operates. Under the Blind Chicken brand, a premium brand shoe store has also been opened in Moscow in the Afimall shopping center.
