Over the year, the number of supporters of discounts and promotions has grown almost one and a half times, Romir calculated.
A survey of Russian consumers conducted by Romir showed an increase in the number of people who are motivated to make a purchase by having a discount on a product. So, in June 2017, the share of those who “always look for promotions and discounts on goods they regularly buy” increased to 36% against 26% in June 2016. The percentage of customers choosing stores with special offers and discounts increased from 28% to 30%. At the same time, the share of those who always choose cheaper products has remained stable - 31%.
