Off-White has unveiled a second version of Second Church Oxfords featuring Virgil Abloh's signature meteorite impact craters, Footwearnews.com writes.
The model was designed by the late Off-White founder Virgil Abloh. This time around, classic black calfleather oxfords have round holes all over the upper, reminiscent of meteor shower craters, a signature Off-White Meteor style detail. The look is completed with the signature Off-White tag and black "shoelace" laces in white.
Model release follows March debut the first joint model of two luxury brands. The first model was an interpretation of the classic Church's Burwood oxfords, whose history dates back to 1953. The updated oxfords received a black matte calfleather upper, which replaced the traditional brown suede. On the outside of the boots, "Special Events" was printed in white in the signature Off-White font.
This collaboration is part of Abloh's latest collection for his own brand, which he founded. The designer worked on the Off-White collections until the end of his days, while simultaneously acting as art director of Louis Vuitton menswear.
The Off-White x Church's Consul Meteor Oxfords are available for $1650 at Off-White and Church's stores and at Church-Footwear.com.
