MICAM is supported by the Italian Shoes Manufacturers Association (ASSOCALZATURIFICI). The exhibition takes place twice a year at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition complex and covers an area of ​​63 thousand square meters. meters. 1400 companies from 30 different countries were announced to participate in the February exhibition. Among the exhibitors are the leading world brands Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada and Tod's, Giorgio Armani, Jimmy Choo, Sergio Rossi, Ermenegildo Zegna and others.

Over the past three years, MICAM has focused on the theme of the Divine Comedy, presenting an advertising campaign in which shoes are the object of desire that provokes passion. In 2019, inspired by the journey of Dante, after atonement in purgatory, a paradise theme comes to the fore in the advertising campaign of the expo show. The key mood of MICAM in February was the movement towards art and creativity.
