The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will analyze the reason for the growth of footwear imports to Russia from Kazakhstan by 263 times in 2011 - the first quarter of 2012, EEC Minister for Trade Andrei Slepnev told reporters on the sidelines of the Customs and Business forum.
“The reason is being analyzed. Maybe there is some kind of investment project, ”he noted. At the same time, one of the possible reasons for the growth in imports of light industry products, and in particular footwear, was previously named an increase in supplies from China. In total, in 2011 - the first quarter of 2012, $ 50 million worth of footwear was imported to Russia.
“There are problems - both with the presence (of the border guards of the partner countries of Kazakhstan on its external borders), and with the exchange of information (between the customs services of the three states),” the EEC Minister for Trade said.
He specified that related issues arise not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Russia and Belarus.
In particular, it was previously reported that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the ministries to analyze the situation with the export of oil products from Belarus to third countries. The Russian side has suspicions that the Belarusian side is exporting oil products under the guise of solvents, as a result of which part of the duties on the export of oil products does not come to the Russian budget, Gazeta writes, citing Interfax.
