The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will analyze the reason for the increase in footwear imports to Russia from Kazakhstan by 263 times in the 2011 year - the first quarter of the 2012 year, the ECE Trade Minister Andrei Slepnev told reporters on the sidelines of the Customs and Business forum.
“The reason is being analyzed. Maybe there is some kind of investment project there, ”he noted. At the same time, one of the possible reasons for the growth in imports of light industry products, and in particular shoes, was previously called an increase in supplies from China. In total for 2011 year - the first quarter of 2012 of the year, shoes worth $ 50 million were imported to Russia.
“There are problems both with the presence (border guards of the partner countries of Kazakhstan at its external borders) and with the exchange of information (between the customs services of the three states),” the Minister for Trade of the EEC said.
He specified that related issues arise not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Russia and Belarus.
In particular, it was previously reported that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the ministries to analyze the situation with the export of petroleum products from Belarus to third countries. The Russian side has suspected that the Belarusian side is exporting petroleum products under the guise of solvents, as a result of which part of the duties on the export of petroleum products does not go to the Russian budget, writes gazeta, citing Interfax.
