Recently, the Fashion Consulting Group analytical agency, together with the KupiVIP E-Commerce Services platform, conducted a survey of New Year's consumer sentiment, which was attended by over 4 thousand respondents from among the buyers of the KupiVIP holding. According to the results, this year 29% of those surveyed intend to spend less on New Year's gifts for their friends and family than last year. Interestingly, 43% are going to spend a total of 2-3 days on holiday shopping, 21% will choose gifts for 4-5 days, 26% - more than five days. But in one day every tenth respondent intends to meet. Thus, people will make a purchase decision quickly enough.
Most of the respondents (56%) are ready to spend no more than 7 thousand rubles on wardrobe items bought as a gift. At the same time, shoes are not the most desirable gift. Only 11% of respondents would like to get a new pair (for comparison - 64% dream of new accessories).
Do shoe retailers expect a decrease in sales and the average check in the New Year period? Do you plan to take additional measures to stimulate sales in addition to traditional discounts?
