Adidas will close 40 stores in Russia

The decision to reduce the retail network of the German brand of sportswear and shoes in Russia is caused by the worsening economic situation and falling consumer demand in the country, writes RBC with reference to company representatives.

At present, the Russian Adidas chain of stores has 840 points. In addition to retail, 10% of employees of the Russian office of the company will undergo a reduction.

In 2016, Adidas closed 80 of its stores in Russia. According to the management of Adidas, the ruble devaluation forced the company to adjust development plans on the Russian market.
