The Rebook business in Russia was transferred to the Turkish holding FLO

The Russian division of the Reebok sporting goods network, after announcing the suspension of the brand in the Russian Federation, acquired the large Turkish holding FLO, Kommersant writes, citing information from a retail real estate market consultant.

The Reebok retail network in Russia consists of about 100 stores and, experts estimate its value at 1,5 billion rubles, but do not exclude that the transaction price could be significantly lower, since it is now difficult for foreign companies to sell their business in Russia, and the previous owner of the Russian business division of Reebok rated it as unprofitable.

Among the footwear brands that FLO develops are US Polo Assn., Lamberjack, Nine West. The note notes that "FLO gained control of Reebok outlets after signing an agreement with the network to release products under this brand in Turkish factories for a number of countries." At the request of Shoes Report, the Russian representative office of the FLO holding has left information about the deal without comment.

As we wrote earlier, in March 2022, Reebok's global business acquired the American holding company Authentic Brands Group (ABG) from Adidas. In Russia, Reebok is still controlled through Adidas LLC, whose revenue, according to SPARK-Interfax, in 2021 amounted to 55,6 billion rubles, net profit - 3,9 billion rubles. According to the 2GIS service, at least 117 Reebok mono-brand stores operate in major cities of the Russian Federation.

The Turkish concern Flo was founded in 1960 in Turkey by Ahmet Ziylan. Today the company is the leader in the footwear market in Turkey. The number of personnel is about 10 thousand people. Sells over 55 million pairs of shoes a year. In addition to Turkey, the company's brands are sold in 21 countries around the world. The company entered the Russian market in 2021, where it represents the shoe brands Lumberjack, Nine West, US.Polo, Polaris, Kinetix.
