The Detmold-based Wortmann Group is challenging the coronavirus pandemic and creating an innovative exhibition format with enormous potential. In order to provide customers with effective support during the pandemic and maintain the same high level of service, the first digital exhibition of footwear brands Tamaris, Marco Tozzi, s.Oliver shoes, Caprice and Jana was held on June 17 and 18, 2020.
The success of the project, for which video clips about the collections were created and the digital platform was created as soon as possible, are confirmed by more than 150 preliminary applications for consultations. Already on the first day of the exhibition, reality exceeded the wildest expectations: the event was attended by more than 2000 people from 46 countries.
Communication through video conferencing, during live broadcasts and through chats in virtual showrooms was lively and varied: during discussions and presentations not only touched on the topics of the future spring-summer season of 2021 and additional novelties of the fall / winter 2020 season, but also widely The current situation and the whole range of measures taken in connection with it were highlighted.
Summing up the first results, the managing director of Wortmann holding, Jens Beining, was very pleased with the premiere: “The event was a great success and caused a stunning effect. Our investments in communication with customers have fully paid off. We were able to hold much more discussions than at the offline Expo Riva exhibition. I am very glad that our team was able to develop a platform in such a short time to provide the best customer support during this difficult time. Along with an important exchange of views on further joint development of the business, we received a lot of valuable information that will help us make this format even more attractive in the future. “We enjoyed it a lot and would like to thank our partners for their active participation and positive exchange of experience.”
