The 83 exhibition of shoes Expo Riva Schuh, which was held from 10 to 13 on January in Rivo del Garda, was attended by over 12 thousand people.
“At the heart of the exhibition is a focus on international markets and an early date ideal for buyers, especially from large chains,” said Giovanni Laezza, CEO of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. According to him, the organizers noted a "very positive signal" from buyers from Russia, who visited the exhibition in large numbers in order to find "high quality products at reasonable prices." “We are talking about choosing a new strategy related to the complexities of the ruble exchange rate,” said Laezza, “and Expo Riva Schuh is responding to new requests, both in terms of supply and service.”
The business program prepared by Promos, the company responsible for the international activities of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, was also aimed at maintaining relations with partners from Russia, the CIS countries and the Baltic States. “Thanks to the business program, many valuable contacts have been established with the exhibitors, which opens up new business opportunities, including for Italian companies, which have been especially hard hit by the crisis in the Eastern European markets,” Laezza said.
1 331 exhibitors from Italy and other countries took part in the Expo Riva Schuh exhibition, including Bulgaria being represented for the first time. On a total area of 32 500 sq.m, collections of shoes and accessories for the autumn-winter season 2015-16 were demonstrated. The next Expo Riva Schuh showroom will run from 13 to 16 on June 2015.
