Italian footwear and apparel brand Geox recalls that its history began with the release of children's shoes and continues to create a truly diverse collection of models for boys and girls. The main model of the Geox kids' collection for the spring-summer 2021 season is sneakers. Shoes are distinguished not only by their attractive appearance, some models are equipped with technological elements, others are created in the concept of respect for nature.
The most notable novelty of the collection is the Playkix interactive sneakers. A video game has been developed for the model, which teaches us to responsibly interact with the environment. The heel device connects to your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth. The game's avatars - Geox Girl and Geox Boy - follow the movements of a child in Playkix sneakers, move through the streets and collect plastic bottles, clearing the city of garbage.
Geox is launching two capsule collections for the new season. One of them was released in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund. The sneakers and trainers are made from sustainable materials: recycled cotton upper, certified leather and suede Leather Working Group (the group supports the protocols of environmental protection in the leather industry), the outsole is from recycled rubber.
On the back and on the laces of the models, you can see the inscription Save our Planet! - the slogan of the capsule, conveying its main idea and expressing Geox's commitment to the principles of sustainable development. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the collection will be donated to support WWF's programs for the conservation of endangered animal species.
The second capsule was created in collaboration with The Walt Disney. On sneakers made of leather, white and blue denim, the whole company gathered: the cheerful mouse Mickey Mouse, the shy Minnie and the cheerful Daisy. In the models for girls, sparkling sequins, pink heart-shaped rhinestones, colored polka-dot laces and silk bows are used as additional decor.
In addition, the collection of shoes for boys includes futuristic sneakers and ultra-flexible sock sneakers with neon elements, like the heroes of science fiction films; in the collection of footwear for girls - models made of metallic leather, with animal prints (zebra and leopard), with colored graffiti and decor in the form of stars.
