Hush Puppies embarked on a walk "on the wave of my memory" creating a collection of the 2018 spring season. Next year, the brand returns to the sixties of the last century, writes Footwear News.
Known to all for his colorful suede shoes, the American brand of comfortable shoes Hush Puppies plunged into the study of his archives and created a limited spring collection of men's shoes “Decades” that reflect the pop culture and style of the last few decades.
The collection presents the styles of oxfords in the style of abstract painting by Pete Mondarian, which reflect the fashion of the 60's, as well as the same oxfords in the style of pop art 80's. 2000's style in the collection is represented by elegant slip-on sneakers with suede upper and jeans.
“The new collection is designed to demonstrate the relevance of Hush Pappies for a number of decades. But this does not mean that we are heading for the classics. We want to recall our iconic models by introducing them in a new, more daring way, ”says Bill Mirecki, president of Hush Puppies.
The Decade Collection is also an attempt by the brand to appeal to the youth audience of consumers. “Despite the fact that the brand is well known among consumers of the older generation, millennials perceive it as something new and cool,” the company said.
