According to Antonio Verti, the main problem in the production of such moccasins is the search for a balance between the hardness of gold and the need to give the shoes some flexibility. Because the shoes should be comfortable. “If the shoes are very light, the gold bends. And heavy shoes create discomfort for those who wear them, ”he explains.
It takes 230 gram of gold to create one pair of shoes. Shoes are made to order by scanning the foot using an 3D printer. The production price of a male pair is 25 thousand euros, a female pair is 30 thousand euros. The price includes the cost of shipping shoes, which can be carried out including by helicopter. A pair of gold moccasins is located on a small pillow, and packed in a lacquered box.
