General Director of the Unichel factory, Vladimir Denisenko, expressed concern about the construction of a Chinese shoe factory in the Chelyabinsk region.
The Chinese company "YUMEK" has acquired three old buildings in the village of Bolshoy Kuyash (Chelyabinsk region) and is building one new one. The new building will house a shoe shop - the owners plan to launch three production lines there. According to the announced plans, the enterprise will be launched this year. For these purposes, 150 specialized workers will be delivered from China: 80 this year and 70 next year, when the second line is launched. Also, Chinese employers intend to attract the local population, but no more than 50 people.
In an interview with Business FM, Vladimir Denisenko expressed concern that the factory would produce fakes of well-known brands, for example, the infamous Abibas sneakers. “All counterfeit products are now sewn in China, comments Vladimir Stepanovich,“ over the past year or two, customs has been working better and better, and it is becoming more and more difficult to transport such products to Russia. And so we see: in the Moscow region (so far mostly there) in old factories, in former defense enterprises in inhuman conditions, the Chinese sew shoes, live there, eat there, sleep there. As a rule, these shoes are fakes of well-known brands. I really would not like us to have the same thing. God forbid it was different. "
Vladimir Pomykalov, director of the Robis Institute for Economic Research, is sure that since the involvement of the local population will be minimal, there can be no talk of investments, rather, just a transfer of production. Moreover, a dormitory is already under construction for the Chinese workers near Kunashak.
When all lines are up and running, the Big Kuyash factory plans to produce 70 pairs of shoes a year. The district administration emphasizes that taxes will go to the local budget. Based on materials from the radio station "Business FM".
