Puma Collaborations Drive Sales

The German manufacturer of sportswear and footwear Puma recorded 4-% quarterly growth.

Net profit in the first quarter increased from 24,8 million euros a year earlier to 25,8 million euros (29,2 million dollars).

Revenue grew by 7,3% to 852 million euros, thanks to growth in all segments, especially in footwear.

The growth in shoe sales, in particular, was influenced by the collaboration of the brand with Rihanna. The artist became the creative director of the Puma female line a year and a half ago.

“The first quarter of the year met our expectations. Significant sales growth was recorded in all segments and regions, ”said Puma CEO Björn Gulden.
