Mila vs. Monopoly

The company "Mila-footwear wholesale" informs that from unofficial sources it became known about the interest of large Internet sites in the products of the brand "Kotofey". The main condition for cooperation with the manufacturer is the termination of the supply of products of this brand to existing small online stores. In return, the factory is promised impressive sales. The manager of Mila-Footwear Wholesale, Alexander Borodin, commented on the situation as follows:

“Undoubtedly, large Internet sites have enormous opportunities: a wide assortment, powerful advertising campaigns, clear supply chains, many points of delivery with a convenient location for buyers, excellent pre-sale preparation (high-quality photos, product descriptions, etc.). However, all this service is reflected in the price. In relation to the wholesale value, the trade margin often reaches 100%. At the same time, small online stores are developing, practically without advertising, with the level of related services significantly lower. But their mark-up is only about 50-60% to the wholesale price. So these stores provide, albeit not significant, but still competition to the "giants" who, instead of passing by without paying attention, try to oust competitors and clean up the retail space "to zero", thereby depriving not only individual entrepreneurs and their staff of work and earnings, but also taking away the choice from consumers. The right to choose should always be and I think it is wrong to create a monopoly precedent. There is no reason to monopolize the market. In my opinion, it is correct when those who, in addition to the purchased pair of children's shoes, are ready to pay for a high-quality service, make purchases on popular Internet sites, and those who are not ready - on little-known sites. I hope that Yegoryevsk Obuv will take into account all the negative aspects of cooperation with such “giants” and will not infringe on the interests of small online stores and their customers who prefer Kotofey children's shoes.
