The world's largest online auction site eBay plans to introduce the first localized mobile application for Russia by the end of the 2012 year, an eBay spokesman told reporters on Tuesday, 16 on October.
“The launch dates do not depend on us. November-December - at the latest, ”said Sergey Ivashov, who is in charge of the strategy for the development of mobile applications for eBay.
The first localized app will be eBay Fashion, which will offer clothing, footwear and accessories. A localized version of the full-featured eBay app will be available in Q2013 XNUMX.
As Ivashov noted, both applications will be available for both the iOS and Android platforms. At the same time, English-language versions of these applications are already available to Russian users.
