New Google Service Increases Timberland Sales 20 Times

Google announced the launch of a new mobile service - Google Commerce Search. This service is a mobile search for products and brands in online stores. The Google Commerce project itself was launched back in 2009, in the season of the beginning of the holiday sales.

The Internet giant analyzed the sites of its largest retailer customers and found that almost 80% of them were not adapted for mobile devices. Chris Hardisty, director of the Global E-Commerce division of shoe manufacturer Timberland, one of the first partners of the new Google service, commenting on his prospects, said that after the company adapted its website for mobile devices, sales via the mobile version of the site exceeded sales by 20 times through its traditional version.

Timberland was created in the 1973 year in the United States by Nathan Schwartz. It offers shoes, clothes and accessories for men, women and children, as well as a specialized line of clothes and shoes Outdoor Performance.

The brand's clothing and footwear is sold to North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. Based on materials from the Kommersant-Dengi newspaper.
