Obuv Rossii will open in St. Petersburg 15 company stores

The Obuv Rossii group of companies will bring its mono-brand Westfalika chain to the footwear market of the North-West. From August 2011 to August 2012, the retailer will open 15 brand stores in St. Petersburg. According to the site  retailer.ru, the first St. Petersburg chain store will be launched by the fall-winter season.

Investments in the development of Westfaliki in St. Petersburg, according to company official data, will amount to 100 million rubles. For its St. Petersburg retail facilities, Obuv Rossii is looking for premises of street-retail format standard for Westfalika stores with 60-120 square. m

According to the director of business development at Astera, Lyudmila Reva, rental rates for a shoe company in the historic center of the city can range from 6000 rubles. per sq. m per month, and in residential areas near metro stations - 2000 - 3500 rubles. per sq. m per month. In shopping centers, the rates for tenants of this segment can fluctuate between 2000 and 4000 rubles. per sq. m, the expert comments.

“There is now a place for the development of the shoe network both in street-retail format and in shopping centers,” says Lyudmila Reva. - Vacant premises for small shoe stores up to 300 sq. m appear as a result of the rotation of tenants. "

In 2010, Obuv Rossii opened 20 Westfalika stores. In 2011, it is planned to launch 40-50 objects both in the cities where the retailer is present and in new ones (Izhevsk, Kazan, St. Petersburg). Obuv Rossii is betting on the development of the Westfalika network, since in the regions where the brand is represented most widely, a favorable situation has developed for the development of medium-format retail.

“Now there is a large selection of premises,” says Anton Titov. - If before the crisis one auction was even held among potential tenants for one premises, now we are choosing from 10 possible placements. This is due to the fact that the main applicants for small premises - mobile retail stores and slot machines - no longer have a strong impact on the real estate market. Among the former, saturation occurred, the latter is now illegal. ”

“We have developed a technology for entering new regions,” says Anton Titov. - In cities where we are already well represented, for example, Novosibirsk and Omsk, we will open 1-2 stores. Where the network is still not sufficiently developed, for example, in Krasnoyarsk and Perm, we will launch 3-4 stores. ” The upcoming discoveries of Westfaliki will take place at the end of February in Berezniki (Perm Region) and Omsk.
