“Obuv Rossii” will produce military shoes for 500 million rubles

The Obuv Rossii group of companies and the Largos company entered into a contract for the production and supply of military shoes for 2017 a year in the amount of 200 thousand pairs and in the amount of 500 million rubles. The agreement was signed today as part of the Army-2016 international military-technical forum, which runs from 6 to 11 on September.  

The Largos company has been operating in the military shoe market since 1998 and specializes in the supply of footwear for all army units, including those commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergencies, customs, as well as footwear for tourists and hunters. Obuv Rossii began to cooperate with Largos in the spring of 2016, when an agreement was reached on contract manufacturing of shoes in the amount of 50 thousand pairs in 2016. To implement the project in May, a shoe manufacturing line was launched at the Shoe of Russia factory in the city of Berdsk.

Obuv Rossii considers the special and military footwear market to be promising, estimating its volume at 150 billion rubles or 50 million pairs. To study it in more detail and declare itself to be a major player, the company takes part in the Army-2016 exhibition, which presents a collection of special and military shoes from more than 80 models. The collection also included fundamentally new models of tactical shoes, the mass production of which will begin in November 2016.

At the production facilities of Shoe of Russia in the city of Novosibirsk and Berdsk, Novosibirsk Region, all the basic technologies for manufacturing shoes and attaching soles are now presented, so the company's capabilities to produce a diverse range are virtually unlimited. Since 2014, the company has been implementing an investment program for the development of production. To date, Obuv Rossii has already invested 800 million rubles in capacity building, and by the end of the year another 250 million rubles will be invested. By 2022, the company intends to increase production by 3 times - up to 1,5 million pairs. The total investment of Shoe of Russia in the development of production over 7 years will amount to 5 billion rubles, of which 2 billion is own funds.

The Obuv Rossii group of companies was founded in 2003, with its head office in Novosibirsk. He is engaged in shoe production, retail and wholesale of footwear and related products. It develops five shoe chains: Westfalika (single brand, mid-price segment), Pedestrian (multi-brand shoe supermarket), Emilia Estra (shoes boutique), Rossita (store for the whole family) and Lisette (fashion shoe stores). The Shoe of Russia shoe network currently has more than 450 stores in more than 100 cities. The company's revenue in 2015 year under RAS amounted to 9 billion rubles, net profit - 1,3 billion rubles.
