Parisian Galeries Lafayette department store opens a new flagship on the Champs Elysees

The opening of the new Galeries Lafayette store on the most touristy and most recently troubled street in Paris is scheduled for March 28.

The Galeries Lafayette on the Champs Elysees opens at the site of the former Virgin supermarket. The store will occupy 4 floors, its area will be 6500 square. meters, including a rooftop restaurant.

The management of the luxury retailer notes that a new retail concept will be introduced in the new Galeries Lafayette store, which will feature personalized customer service. For this, the retailer recruited and trained 300 stylists who will advise buyers. The store will feature all the famous luxury brands - from Chanel to Gucci, as well as brands such as RouJe, Walk of Shame and Mira Mikati. In addition to shops, the space will also include a high-level food court, cafe-bar, restaurant and technological fitting rooms, allowing customers to find out about all available products.

Designed by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, the store is about one tenth of the famous Parisian department store on Osmann Boulevard, which attracts from 60000 to 80000 visitors a day. By the way, half of the visitors are foreign tourists, most of whom are from China. The new store on Champs Elysees expects to attract 10000-15000 visitors per day.

Galeries LafayetteFounded at the end of the 1800 years, it has an 61 store in France and abroad. Last weekend, the company opened a second store in Shanghai and plans to open another 10 stores in China in the next three to four years. According to the results of the 2018 year, the annual turnover of the company reached about 2 billion euros.
