Before closing, the fashionable Parisian boutique Colette released a joint collection with the French brand of ballet flats Repetto, Footwearnews writes.
An extremely limited edition of eight pairs represents the classic model of ballet flats with a shiny black and silver top, with a black toe and a black elastic band.
On the inside of the sole of the ballet shoes there is an inscription in French - “Au revoir Colette!” (“Goodbye Colette!), Which seems to remind of the long-term relationship between the shoe brand and the concept boutique.
The Paris Colette boutique closes at the end of December this year, after twenty years of operation.
The new ballet model is called Catherine, and its launch marks the start of the Repetto Transgression collection’s marketing campaign, which includes six limited-edition models specifically for sale in the United States.
The Transgression project is the second stage of Repetto expansion in the American market. It began with the launch of a pop-up store in The Webster's New York fashion boutique during New York High Fashion Week in September. The third stage involves the opening of the Repetto dance studio in New York in the spring of 2018. The fourth stage is the launch of a series of collaborations, the composition of whose participants is so far kept secret.
